Numb
Dear Me,
I'm writing this letter because I'm afraid you are at the end of the line. I never for one moment believed that you'd turn from one vibrant, high-spirited being into a zombie-like version of yourself... resigned, jaded and had lost the drive to live the exuberant life that you once lived.
My dearest Me, please ask yourself this question: Who are you really? Do you still like the You that you've become?
You lost yourself. It is a travesty to see you now as a mere puppet on a string, just going along with the flow of what fate has in store for you. It's as if you just lie there and wait for when Death comes for you. You don't feel happiness. You don't feel sadness. You simply don't care about YOU anymore.
Although you no longer have the luxury of youth, I truly believe that you still should try not to deprive yourself of your right to be the strong and vibrant woman you really are. A single mistake shouldn't define your whole future, whatever's left of it.
Please Me, wake up.
