2 Easy Steps to Cusromize Your Windows Folders

Having too many folders on your computer can sometimes really be a drag. One way of easily finding your files is to sort your folders by color. For those who doesn't have the time or patience to create custom folders, the 2 easiest ways for doing this is to use either of these 2 softwares:

1. FOLDER COLORIZER

This is pretty easy to use. You don't need to have any technical skills at all. Just a simple right click and voila! it's done. You can download it from here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/Folder-Colorizer.shtml

2. ICONPACKAGER

With Iconpackager, you will be able to customize not only your folders but all the system icons as well. There are hundreds of icon packs you can download for free, you can also create your icon packs if you want to. Download Iconpackager from here: https://www.stardock.com/products/iconpackager/download.asp

How to Add Folders on the Navigation Bar (Easy Tutorial #1)

Most of my work is done on my desktop computer. As expected, those thousands of files are sorted by folders which also has its own subfolders. At the beginning, I find it really annoying and time-consuming to rifle through all these folders, sometimes you have to start from the parent folder till you get to your target file after a dozen clicks or so. Finally I was able to find a quick solution for this dilemma by creating shortcuts on the navigation bar.

Step 1: Highlight the folder (could be the folder/folders that you frequently use) that you want to add to your Favorites menu.

Step 2: Open the selected folder. As on the screenshot below, I selected the "-SCRAPBOOKING-" as an example.

Step 3: Right click on "Favorites" on the navigation bar.

Step 4: Simply click on "add current location to Favorites" and you're done!

About Me

Hello! I'm Psyche. (Yes, Psyche is my real name after the Greek goddess of tragic love) Welcome to my psychedelic world which l'll be sharing with anyone & everyone who's as colorful & crazy as me.

ABOUT THIS BLOG
I'm from an era when internet courses weren't taught, from a country which is always behind when it comes to technology. I only took interest on the internet some 4 years ago when I had to quit working to stay at home to watch over my 4 kids (now aged 11, 8, 5 & 4)

Long story short, what I didn't learn at school I learned all on the web, ALL ON MY OWN. Who would believe that a 40-year old English major dropout like me would now be someone who gets paid to fix computers & gadgets! So basically, I just want to share all the knowledge I've acquired the past years.

MORE ABOUT ME
I'm a certified bibliophile. I have like 4000+ ebooks on my computer and I actually just started sharing some of my books on here.

When it comes to music, I'm still stuck on the 90's era. I'm an alternative rock fanatic still dreaming of Kurt Cobain's reincarnation.

My greatest passion though is art. I could spend hours just browsing through beautiful colors without getting bored. In fact my color obsession was my introduction to technology. I got so bored with how my desktop looks so I looked up some DIY articles about customizing computers. I almost bricked my pc but eventually I did it!

Eventually I moved on to other tutorials I could get my hands on. Rooting Android phones, Photoshop, Illustrator & now Indesign. I'm also now trying to learn CSS (which I'm still practically struggling at) because well, you guessed it, I want to customize my blog too. The header on my home page is the first one I made.

Well, enough for now & do come back soon because I'll be posting more stuff to make our world more brilliant & excitingly colorful. ❤️❤️❤️
